London Netsuke Symposium 2010 UPDATE!
Plans for the symposium are progressing well and November 5th is getting steadily closer. Over half the places have already been reserved and we are now able to furnish you with more details of our programme.

Dartmouth House, Mayfair, London 37 Charles Street, London W1J 5ED

The Crypt
Our welcoming dinner will be held on the evening of Friday 5th November - Guy Fawkes Night in Britain, when the foiled attempt to blow up Parliament is celebrated throughout the country with bonfires and fireworks, and the burning of effigies of 'the Guy'. This will be held in the historic mediaeval crypt of St Ethelreda's, London's oldest Roman Catholic Church. It was here that the Bishops of Ely threw a lavish three-day feast for Henry VIII and his bride Katherine of Aragon (Katherine was his first wife whose failure to produce a healthy male heir caused Henry to seek the first of his divorces).
